Why human connectivity is important in the lives of people
Staying updated doesn’t happen at the same speed for everyone. Children absorb information quickly — what we learn slowly, they often catch at a much faster, more intuitive level. Elders, on the other hand, move more slowly with new information, taking time to process and relate it to their experiences.
People in the middle often miss this difference. When we only rely on our own pace, we become unaware of how knowledge actually moves across generations. Interaction within families makes this clear. Children show us what’s emerging and changing fast.
In simple terms, "Children are young adults while elders are toddlers!"
People who are in the middle should grow awareness by paying attention to both. Staying connected to children keeps us current. Staying connected to elders keeps us grounded. Ignoring either side creates gaps in understanding and making life choices.
Being aware of these different learning rhythms helps families and networks stay informed, balanced, and connected.
